Walter introduces his audience to many outstanding works of art and architecture in Vienna, the capital of Austria and once residential capital of the Habsburg Empire.
To show the exceptional beauty of so many palaces, churches and monuments in Vienna is the purpose. He conveys an idea of the soul of this ancient capital with his words full of knowledge and wit. Different European cultural influences which are palpable in it over the centuries.
We embark on a fascinating trip through the centuries, starting in the 13th Century, with the famous St. Stephen’s Cathedral, and end up with Art Nouveau in the early 20th Century, constantly feeling the unique atmosphere of this town. Vienna having been the world's capital of music for centuries, contains many monuments related to music.
